Home: Goodly sized house with Gloria, still near the beach Finance: Good History: Henry Washington was born in Miami, Florida, a boy who loved to stare at the sky instead of the endless water, and the one thing he always wanted to do was fly. His parents divorced when he was young, setting his mind to only marry 'the one' - the girl who would fit his soul like a glove and he would never, ever leave her. From that point on, they stayed with his mother's parents. He went into the Air Force, graduating in the top 2% percent of his class. He saw some action in the Gulf War, and decided at that point, war was not for him. He did his time, got out, and went commercial. He now is the private pilot of a Mr. Erik von Dietch, flying him out from his home in Tampa to his various business meetings along the East Coast. He visits his mom regularly, along with his grandparents in their retirement home, entertaining them and their friends with puppet shows. He doesn't date much, because he's looking for something he just hasn't found yet. Except recently, he did. He found Gloria, whom he married after a week and now they're happily settled in together and enjoying their only child, their dog Toto. Gloria died recently during a hostage situation in a hold-up gone wrong, and Wizard has been trying to find his way without her. Life works out in weird ways ... as Wizard is about to find out. History: Raised on an unnamed planet with pollution so thick the stars were not visible, Wash became a pilot in part to see the sky beyond his home. Upon graduation, Wash was second in his class at flight school. Wash served as a pilot during the war, although he has never said which side. His ship was shot down after a single flight and he was put in a POW camp, where he spent the remainder of the war entertaining the other prisoners with shadow puppets. Wash then traveled widely, visiting odd worlds where, for example, juggling goslings was the principal form of entertainment. His skills as a pilot grew, and by the time Wash met Malcolm Reynolds, his reputation had grown to the point where he was actively courted by multiple captains in search of a good pilot. He took the job with Mal, though, and fell in love with Zoe, Mal's second in command, despite her initial distrust of him. He flew with Mal for years, the first of his crew, right through to the time when the Tams joined them. He died in the battle with the Reavers, when a harpoon plunged through his chest after he landed the 'Serenity' on Miranda.
